Swedish AI company Blipply has announced the launch of its AI platform in Kenya through a strategic partnership with Telkom Kenya, one of the country’s largest operators. The platform turns everyday transactions into trust, opportunity, and financial freedom, helping informal businesses and individuals build financial profiles for the first time.

The informal economy makes up more than half of Kenya’s GDP, yet millions remain unbanked and underserved by traditional financial institutions. Blipply’s platform offers an AI-driven ecosystem for building financial profiles through payments, commerce, and business management, including Buy Now, Pay Later services and, over time, faster access to credit through automated lending decisions.

For Telkom Kenya, the collaboration delivers stronger customer loyalty, a distinctive product offering, and AI-powered KYC that reduces reliance on sales agents and physical offices. For Blipply, it secures nationwide reach in Kenya, full access to Telkom’s network, and a blueprint for wider expansion across emerging markets.
