About the role

As a Java backend developer, you’ll help build and scale the infrastructure behind our AI-driven products. You’ll work closely with our AI and product teams to integrate machine learning models, build secure and efficient APIs, and design systems that perform at scale.

We use tools like Bitbucket for collaboration, Figma for product handoff, and deploy on AWS via EKS. Our data lives in DynamoDB, and we use Kafka for real-time messaging across services. You’ll need to be comfortable working in this environment and eager to explore new technologies and tools as we evolve.

You will also be expected to use AI tools as part of the development process – for generating code, accelerating testing, improving documentation or exploring solutions. We believe AI can enhance developer productivity, and we actively support its use.

In this role, you will

  • Build and maintain scalable backend services in Java

  • Integrate machine learning models into production systems

  • Work with tools like Kafka, DynamoDB, EKS, Bitbucket and AWS

  • Use AI tools like Replit in coding, testing and debugging workflows

Your background

  • Professional experience with Java and backend architecture

  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (especially AWS)

  • Experience using or integrating with AI tooling

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Driven, engaged, proactive and problem-solving by nature
