With your Blipply account set up, it’s time to take control of your daily finances by documenting sales and handling stock purchases. This lesson explains how to use Blipply to keep records of all transactions, categorise expenses, and effectively manage stock purchases, whether you’re paying digitally or with cash.

Recording sales in Blipply

Blipply’s digital payment options make it easy to record sales without any extra effort on your part. When a sale is made through Blipply—either via QR code or online order—it’s automatically recorded in the app. This automatic logging simplifies your record-keeping while ensuring that every sale is documented and easily accessible in your sales history. For any sales made outside Blipply, manual entries are available, allowing you to maintain a full financial picture.

Managing stock purchases and payments

For stock purchases, Blipply offers convenient options to pay your suppliers directly through the app. If your local supplier uses Blipply Merchant, you can pay them directly through Blipply Consumer. Just log in with your Blipply Merchant credentials, scan their QR code, or order online if they have an online shop on Blipply. This feature is particularly helpful for merchants who wish to avoid the hassle of manual documentation, as every purchase is automatically noted, ensuring your records stay organized and complete.

Manual entry for cash payments

Occasionally, you may need to pay for stock in cash. Blipply allows you to manually register these transactions in the Wallet section. When adding a cash purchase, include details such as the item description, quantity, and cost to maintain accuracy. Documenting cash expenses is essential for a true representation of your operating costs, allowing you to view a comprehensive picture of your shop’s financial health.

Reviewing supplier payment history

Blipply retains transaction histories, so you can review payments made to suppliers at any time. This is a valuable tool for verifying purchase amounts and dates, as well as for understanding spending patterns over time. Having this information readily accessible will help you make informed decisions regarding stock management and cost efficiency.
