Blipply is more than just a payment app. It provides users with:

Convenience: Blipply transforms how you operate by allowing you to set up an online store quickly. With features like order management, a product map, and digital payment acceptance, your shop is more accessible to customers, wherever they are.

Security: Blipply’s QR code system and multi-level authentication make transactions secure. Built-in KYC verification also protects your shop, reducing fraud risk and ensuring that only authorized employees access the app.

Financial Inclusion: Blipply builds a financial profile for your business by recording your transactions and sales, contributing to your credit score and digital identity. This profile can help you access loans and financial services that may have previously been out of reach.

Loan Access: By building a strong credit history through regular transactions, you can qualify for Blipply’s specialised loan programs. These loans, tailored to support small businesses, provide you with capital for inventory, shop improvements, or expansion.

Setting up your account

Getting started with Blipply is quick and easy, allowing you to set up your account and activate your online shop right away.

  1. Download the Blipply Merchant app:
    Start by downloading the Blipply Merchant app from your device’s app store.

  2. Create your account:
    Enter your phone number and set a secure PIN. You’ll use this PIN to authorize transactions and keep your account protected.

  3. Prepare your shop:
    Select your merchant type, then add at least five items or services to your shop. Complete your profile details to activate your online shop and make it visible to customers.

  4. Connect your wallet:
    Blipply integrates with wallets like Vooma, KCB, Airtel, and MPESA. Connect your Vooma Till wallet to accept payments from any wallet through Blipply.

  5. Complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification:
    To access all features and secure your account, complete KYC verification by uploading your national ID and proof of address.

Managing your account on multiple devices

Blipply allows you to log in from multiple devices, but for added security, each new device login requires verification via an SMS code. This ensures your account is protected even if your phone is lost or stolen.

You can allow your employees to use the same Blipply Merchant account as yourself by following these steps:

  1. Make sure to install the Blipply Merchant app on your employee's phone.

  2. Borrow your employee's phone and log in using your phone number and PIN code. Do not share your PIN code with your employee for security reasons.

  3. After logging in, your employee will remain logged in until they choose to actively log out.

Note: Since your employee does not have access to your PIN code, they cannot make any withdrawals from the account. This ensures the security of your funds.

How to set delivery options

Follow these steps to set delivery options:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Click on Delivery options within your profile settings.

  3. Enter the contact information of the Boda Bodas you typically collaborate with for home deliveries. 

  4. Specify the prices for home deliveries within three different ranges.
