Overview

In this lesson, you’ll learn about Blipply’s payment options, withdrawing funds, and using reports to track your sales.

In-store payments

Here's a step-by-step guide to checking out a customer:

  1. Add items to cart: Navigate to My Shop and click on Cart. From there, select and add the items your customer wishes to purchase.

  2. Review cart: Before proceeding to payment, ensure all requested items are correctly added to the cart. Click on View Cart to review the items.

  3. Proceed to checkout: Once confirmed, click on Checkout to proceed. A summary of the purchase, including the total amount and items, will be displayed.

  4. Display summary to customer: Show the checkout summary to your customer, including the QR code generated for payment.

  5. Customer payment: Your customer uses their Blipply Personal app to scan the QR code. They will then see the summary of the purchase on their screen. To complete the payment, they need to approve the transaction and enter the correct PIN code.

What happens when a transaction is completed?

  1. Your balance in Blipply will be updated.

  2. Your customer list will be updated with the counterpart information.

  3. Your transaction list and reports will be updated.

  4. Your credit score will be updated.

  5. The inventory will be updated.

Withdrawing funds from your Blipply account

Access the Balance section, select Withdraw, and enter the amount to transfer funds to your linked wallet (e.g., M-PESA, Vooma).

Note: Withdrawals to M-PESA/KCB can come with a fee from KCB. Please check their latest transaction tariff for transferring. The cost will be deducted from your transferred amount.

Financial reporting and performance tracking

Blipply’s dashboard offers clear summaries of your daily, weekly, and monthly transactions, making it easy to track your shop’s performance over time. These reports give insights into revenue and expenses, helping you monitor cash flow and make well-informed decisions about inventory and other costs. To view these reports, go to the Balance section and select Reports.
